Project Six offers a safe, structured residential program for adolescents ages 12–20 who need intensive support for emotional, behavioral, and social challenges. Our relationship-based approach helps teens build coping skills, strengthen communication, and prepare for successful reintegration into home, school, and community life.

The Residential Facility Manager provides leadership to ensure the safety, stability, and effective operation of the residential program. Serving as a key resource for both staff and residents, the Facility Manager maintains operational excellence while supporting residents’ treatment goals and overall well-being. This role oversees daily facility operations, ensures compliance and promotes a structured, therapeutic environment where residents can thrive.

Position Details: 

  • Location: Van Nuys
  • Full-Time: Overnight Shift
    • Wednesday - Saturday 11:00 PM – 9:00AM

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the group home, ensuring a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for residents
  • Train, supervise, and support direct care staff in collaboration with leadership while ensuring compliance with agency policies and licensing regulations
  • Supervise youth and non-minor dependents, coordinate planned activities and apply the Reasonable and Prudent Parenting Standard
  • Administer medications, monitor meals, housekeeping and other resident care responsibilities
  • Respond effectively to crises, including CPI intervention techniques, AWOL situations, and maintaining required certifications (CPR/First Aid)
  • Complete documentation, reports, communication logs, and participate in required meetings, training and quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain compliance with Title 22 and agency standards, oversee petty cash procedures, communicate with families, and support the overall health and safety of residents

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Minimum 2 years of full-time experience working with youth (or equivalent CDSS-approved education/experience)
  • At least 2 years of experience in a group home or STRTP in a social work or comparable residential role
  • Proven leadership experience with staff supervision and team development
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective during crisis situations

The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of Help Group. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, professional and academic experience, certification, training, responsibilities of the position, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.
