Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, hands-on personal care and assistance to individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Support clients with daily living activities including grooming, meal preparation, and mobility
- Assist with community integration, transportation, and social engagement activities
- Implement individualized support plans and document progress accurately
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and care team members
- Promote client independence, dignity, and overall well-being at all times
- Respond appropriately to behavioral or medical situations as needed
Requirements:
- Prior experience in direct support, caregiving, or a related human services field preferred
- Genuine compassion and patience when working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to pass a background check and meet state compliance requirements
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed
