Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Consultant

The Arc Columbia-Saratoga, formerly Coarc (Columbia County Arc), is seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker Consultant to provide services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this consultant role, you will work directly with people we support in their homes and day programs, helping promote emotional well-being, personal growth, independence, and quality of life while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

 

Program: Adult Services

Position Type: 1099 Consultant

Schedule: Approximately 12–15 hours per week

Service Locations: Homes and Day Programs

Pay Rate: $55.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide social work consultation and support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Meet with people we support in their homes and day program settings.
  • Support emotional well-being, coping skills, self-advocacy, and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with program staff, families, clinical team members, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Assist with identifying needs, developing recommendations, and supporting individualized goals.
  • Participate in team meetings and service planning, as appropriate.
  • Maintain professional documentation in accordance with agency policies and applicable standards.
  • Provide services in a professional, ethical, and person-centered manner.

 

Requirements

  • Current New York State Licensed Master Social Worker license required
  • Experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
  • Strong assessment, communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team
  • Valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation required
