  • Deliver culturally responsive services that recognize the experiences, strengths, values, and needs of African and Caribbean clients.
  • Build trust with clients and families who may experience cultural stigma, language barriers, or limited familiarity with behavioral health services.
  • Use evidence-based and trauma-informed therapeutic interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, services, client progress, and treatment outcomes.
  • Advocate for clients and connect them with behavioral health, medical, housing, employment, and other community resources.
  • Participate in case reviews, team meetings, crisis planning, and program-development activities.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training to strengthen clinical and cultural competencies.
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and comply with all organizational, ethical, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements

  • Ability to provide culturally responsive behavioral health services to African and Caribbean individuals and families.
  • Experience working with immigrants, refugees, underserved populations, or culturally diverse communities is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic modalities, clinical assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and care coordination.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, documentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary, team-oriented environment.
  • Compassionate and respectful approach with a strong commitment to person-centered care.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
