Position Summary: 

The JCRD Clinical Lead in this role will provide direct community-based leadership and support to Justice and Crisis Response Unit (JCRU) Clinicians under the supervision of the Clinical Manager. This position is responsible for weekend coverage, participating in a rotating on-call schedule, and maintaining a strong presence in the community. In addition to coaching and training, this role requires Leads to serve as a CRU clinician, co- responding with St. Louis Metropolitan Police to address community calls as needed. The Clinical Lead ensures compliance with 911 Diversion contract performance standards, policies/procedures, and other partnership requirements, while demonstrating strong clinical skills and maintaining thorough, professional documentation. 

Essential Functions: 

• Provides protocol support, live call assistance, and case consultation to JCRU clinicians in the community, including during weekend coverage. 

• Participates in a rotating on-call schedule, providing consultation and guidance to clinicians as needed (non-licensed Clinical Leads will have access to licensed staff for consultation). 

• Serves as a hands-on resource by filling in as a CRU clinician when call-ins occur, riding along with SLMP to provide direct community response. 

• Demonstrates strong clinical skills in assessment, intervention, and crisis management, and completes all required documentation in a professional and timely manner. 

• Ensure all new Clinical Service Team employees receive appropriate training and can demonstrate required skills. 

• Provides and documents performance feedback through side-by-side coaching, performance reviews, goal setting, and deficiency management. 

• Conducts JCRU check-ins via Teams at the start of each shift. 

• Commits to ongoing professional and educational development by participating in individual and group supervision, BHR training, seminars, functions, and events. 

• Works effectively both independently and as part of a team. 

• Demonstrates flexibility with work hours, including weekend coverage, and may participate in off-day training or meetings with advanced notice. 

• Exhibits strong time management skills and meets JCRU attendance and punctuality standards. 

• Performs other duties within the scope of expertise as assigned. 


Education, Experience, and Skills Required: 

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field. 

• At least 1 year of clinical experience with demonstrated leadership skills.


In addition to base pay, we offer a 10% differential incentive for weekend shifts!
