Enhanced Weekend Support Staff Professional (SSP)

Meaningful Work • Wonderful Family • Great Team • $37/Hour

Saturday & Sunday | 7:00 AM–3:00 PM

Are you a behavioral or disability-support professional looking for work where your skills truly matter?

We are looking for a compassionate, energetic, and professional Support Staff Professional (SSP) to join an experienced team supporting an incredible 21-year-old young man in his home and community.

This is a 2:1 Enhanced Services position for someone who enjoys being actively involved, building relationships, encouraging independence, and helping someone experience a full and meaningful life.

Meet the Person You'll Be Supporting

He is a bright, fun, engaging young man who loves sensory activities, community outings, learning new things, and being around people who are positive and genuinely interested in him.

He communicates through an iPad and basic sign language and does best with staff who are attentive, creative, encouraging, and ready to participate alongside him.

Every day is an opportunity to help him communicate, learn, make choices, enjoy his community, and experience success.

A Family and Team That Make This Special

One of the best things about this position is the team surrounding him.

You will work with a welcoming, supportive, and appreciative family who value the people who care for their son. Communication, teamwork, and mutual respect are important here. Staff are treated as valued members of the team—not just employees filling a shift.

You will also have the support of experienced Behavioral Support Professionals who provide guidance and help staff implement his behavioral support plan successfully.

What You'll Be Doing

This is an active, hands-on position. You'll help make the day engaging, productive, and enjoyable while providing the support he needs to participate as fully as possible.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing personal care, including bathing, hygiene, and feeding-tube support
  • Assisting with transfers, mobility, positioning, and physical support

  • Creating opportunities for engagement, learning, and independence
  • Assisting with hydration, meals, and light household tasks
  • Administering medications after appropriate training
  • Following behavioral and health-related protocols
  • Implementing strategies outlined in the behavioral support plan
  • Working closely with family members, behavioral professionals, and other team members
  • Remaining attentive and actively engaged throughout the entire shift

  • Comfortable being active and participating in community activities
  • Calm and professional when things don't go as planned
  • A strong communicator and team player
  • Interested in helping someone build skills, make choices, and enjoy life
  • Someone who understands that good support is about more than care—it's about connection, opportunity, and participation
