Director of Evangelization


Reports to: Regnum Christi Director – Atlanta Locality


Position Overview

The Director of Evangelization addresses one of the top priorities of Regnum Christi and serves to evangelize all members of the community through apostolate development and by fostering vibrant leadership that seeks to form apostles who transform society by bringing others to Christ.


Essential Responsibilities:

1. Spiritual Leadership & Vision

  • Promote a clear vision for Evangelization within the Atlanta Locality aligned with the Regnum Christi charism.
  • Develop annual plans and strategies to grow evangelization apostolates in RC Atlanta.
  • Collaborate with local directors and chaplains to ensure cooperation and spiritual depth in all initiatives.
  • Lead Mercy Missions for the Atlanta Locality (key priority)
2. Program Development & Execution
  • Plan, develop, support and oversee evangelization opportunities
  • Ensure programs are accessible, welcoming, and responsive to the needs of the Church
  • Identify, invite, and accompany new people into the apostolates.
3.  Leadership Development
  • Identify and mentor volunteers to serve in leadership or support roles within the apostolates.
  • Build and sustain a team of volunteers to assist with planning and execution.
  • Promote a culture of co-responsibility and apostolic initiative among members.
4. Communication & Coordination
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with Regnum Christi Director (RCD) and RC Leadership team, apostolate leadership/participants, and the Catholic community.
  • Coordinate calendars, event logistics, and follow-up efforts
5. Stewardship & Sustainability
  • Assist in budgeting and responsible use of resources for apostolates, events/programs.
  • Evaluate programs regularly and implement improvements for long-term growth and sustainability.

Qualifications:

Required

  • A Catholic in good standing, who understands, appreciates and supports the spirituality and evangelizing mission of Regnum Christi.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in ministry leadership, mission coordination, nonprofit program management, or a closely related field.
  • Proven ability to build, lead and motivate volunteer teams in dynamic, field-based environments.
  • Strong attention to details and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage logistics, timelines, and multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to engage effectively with a wide range of participants, partners, and community members.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and mission days as required.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a background check in accordance with diocesan safe environment policies.

Preferred

  • A member of Regnum Christi.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Ministry, Nonprofit Management, Social Work, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Familiarity with Regnum Christi formation programs and apostolic methodology.
  • Experience developing or growing a mission or outreach program from the ground up.
  • Established relationships with Atlanta-area parishes, shelters, or social service organizations.
  • Experience with Excel, Google Sheets, databases, data systems, or other reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Proficiency with volunteer management platforms (e.g. Acceptiva, Wix, Google Drive, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, spoken and written.
  • Experience with donor relations and non-profit fundraising.

Work Location

This position is hybrid with at least 2 days in the office, with the expectation that the employee will effectively collaborate with team members across multiple locations and time zones.


Travel Expectations

This role may require limited travel (approximately 10 - 15%), primarily to support development alignment initiatives, team meetings, training sessions, or internal planning gatherings.
