Job Summary:

Develop and deliver outreach and educational programs to increase research participation, expand clinical and research initiatives, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and support philanthropic and fundraising activities.

Education & Experience

Education and Experience Required: 

Degree (Associate or Bachelor) and five (5) years of experience in community health education, health promotion, or management of educational programs including two (2) years of supervisory experience.  

Certifications, Licenses, or Registration required: 

N/A 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Degree in Nursing, Social Work, Public Health, Education, or Communication.

Demonstrated knowledge of instructional methodologies and assessment instruments; curriculum development and educational program planning; comprehensive understanding of health care issues affecting individuals, caregivers, professionals, and research participants across the lifespan.; strong leadership skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; professional presentation and interpersonal competence; strong analytical abilities; and the capacity to effectively manage multiple, competing, and complex projects. 

Responsibilities 

  • Plans and coordinates annual conferences focused on research advances and professional education in collaboration with continuing education partners. 
  • Develops, implements, and delivers community and professional education and outreach programs, including presenting and coordinating exhibits, sponsorships, health fairs, and conferences at local and statewide levels. 
  • Collaborates with organizational leadership to establish and execute short and long-term education and outreach goals, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates program and operational effectiveness; and implements improvements as needed. 
  • Leads, mentors, and manages a team of training and outreach staff to ensure high-quality program delivery, consistent community engagement, and alignment with organizational goals. 
  • Serves as a community liaison by establishing and maintaining partnerships with faith-based, nonprofit, educational, legislative, and other organizations to raise awareness of services and advance local and statewide initiatives supporting individuals, families, and communities. 
  • Develops and delivers content for organizational websites, social media platforms, and educational materials for participants, families, professionals, and the broader community. 
  • Participates in the development and management of education and outreach budgets; collects and analyzes data; evaluates goal attainment; and reports program outcomes, participant satisfaction, and related metrics in compliance with continuing education and accreditation standards.
