Woodward Community Based Services (WCBS) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our clinical team.

This position will begin part-time with the opportunity to transition to full-time once a caseload of 25 billable hours per week is established and consistently maintained. This is a great opportunity for a clinician seeking flexibility while gradually building a caseload in a supportive, trauma-responsive behavioral health environment.


What you'll do:

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based, trauma-responsive practices.
  • Complete comprehensive behavioral health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation.
  • Monitor member progress and adjust treatment interventions as clinically appropriate.
  • Conduct ongoing safety and risk assessments and respond appropriately to crisis situations.
  • Coordinate care with families, schools, medical providers, case managers, referral sources, and other professionals as appropriate.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, case consultation, team meetings, and professional development.
  • Maintain an assigned caseload while meeting established productivity expectations and providing ethical, member-centered services.
  • Maintain professional licensure and required continuing education.

Requirements


  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or another qualifying behavioral health field.
  • Current Iowa license or license eligibility appropriate to the position.
  • Experience providing behavioral health services preferred.
  • Strong clinical documentation, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with members, families, interdisciplinary teams, and community partners.
  • Successful completion of required background checks.
