This is a merit hire position. The starting pay rate for this position is $28.27. Dauphin County Children & Youth Services is currently accepting applications for a full-time position of Casework Supervisor. The person in this position supervises the provision of casework and case management by a group of professional caseworkers providing services in a public child welfare agency. The person oversees and coordinates the daily activities and scheduling of the team to ensure adequate case and emergency coverage and optimal use of available resources.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Training Requirements:

 

  • Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

 

 

Other Requirements:

At the time of hire, a valid driver’s license and positive driving record, a favorable criminal background check, child abuse and FBI clearances, as well as favorable references, are required. The applicant must provide proof of a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license within 60 days from the date of hire. An alternative form of identification will be accepted if you are not eligible to receive a Pennsylvania driver’s license under 67 PA. Code § 83 and driving is not an essential function of the position.
