Bereavement Counselor PRN

We are hiring a Bereavement Counselor to join our team!

• PRN (as needed) - 9:00am to 5:00pm

Responsible for direct pastoral care for patients and families at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care. Acts as a support person for patients, caregivers, families and staff. Serves as part of an interdisciplinary team and serves as a liaison to patients and families that receive Palliative Care services at Restorative Care. Other responsibilities will be assigned as appropriate. 

Minimum Requirements 

Education

• Master's Degree from an accredited seminary

 Experience

• Minimum of four units clinical pastoral education
• Minimum of 2 years ministerial experience

 License/Registration/Certifications

• Valid driver's license

 Preferred Requirements 

Preferred License/Registration/Certifications

• Board Certification or eligible for Board Certification through the Association of Professional Chaplains

• Sit and view computer monitor for extended periods of time
• Requires extensive daily travel

• Must be able to work as a team member with peers, department managers, staff and administration
• Strong organizational skills
