Assessment Therapist Summary 

This full-time position provides diagnostic assessments, crisis intervention, triage, treatment recommendations, and coordination of care for individuals seeking behavioral health services. 

A Day in the Life 

• Completes diagnostic assessments, provides crisis stabilization and triage, coordinates treatment recommendations, links clients with appropriate services, collaborates with providers and finance staff, completes timely clinical documentation, participates in team meetings, maintains compliance with documentation standards, and performs all other duties and tasks as assigned. 
• Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned. 

Supervisory Responsibilities  

None.

Requirements

Education/Experience 

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a mental health or related field. Ohio licensure through the Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board. Strong communication, customer service, organization, and computer skills. 

Language Skills 

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. 

Reasoning Ability 

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 

Computer Skills 

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the ability to gain knowledge of current practice management system, electronic medical record, Microsoft Word, text paging, Internet, and Intranet. 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations  

Ohio behavioral health licensure. AoD assessment experience and licensure preferred. 

Other Applicable Requirements  

Ability to manage crisis situations, maintain clinical documentation, and work collaboratively with internal and external providers.
