Summary of Position: The Area Practice Administrator-Behavioral Health reports to the Chief Behavioral Health Officer and is responsible for ensuring profitable growth, exceptional service, people development, productivity, and the implementation of management systems and training throughout their assigned facilities, while ensuring quality and compliance. The Area Practice Administrator-Behavioral Health will work through direct reports to develop and manage clinic level strategic performance plans to achieve identified organization objectives. This role requires a unique ability to set the divisional vision and strategy and communicate effectively with external and internal stakeholders, including senior management.

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Administration, Healthcare or related field; MBA or MHA preferred. Licensed behavioral health provider (LCSW/LMFT/LCMHC) preferred.

Experience: 7+ years site operations management experience required. 5+ years behavioral health operations management experience preferred.

 Key Responsibilities (10-Core)

  1. Responsible for instilling company values: respect, integrity, safety, expertise, unity and positive energy throughout the region to create a professional and productive workplace. 
  2. Manage Site Practice Managers to meet or exceed performance requirements
  3. Develop shared efficiencies to promote an economy of scale in the areas of scheduling, medical records and other common functions shared by all sited under the leadership of this administrative role. 
  4. Align practices alignment with the organization’s strategic performance plan. 
  5. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders regarding resources, services and processes; seek creative solutions in anticipation of issues before they become major problems 
  6. Improve clinical outcomes and physician engagement through engagement with the Medical Director and communication with impacted providers 
  7. Proactively approach communication with others to minimize problems; address problems as they arise; listen to others for their points of view; take others’ perspectives into consideration; demonstrate decisiveness, conviction of purpose without being offensive or showing favoritism
  8. Develop, assess and improve relationships with Behavioral Health staff (Psychiatric providers, Behavioral Health providers) and office staff to drive business. 
  9. Work with Practice Managers to ensure a high level of customer service
  10. Work closely with the AVP of Behavioral Health, Senior Director of Behavioral Health, Director of Psychiatry on corporate-wide projects and initiatives to further the Kintegra Health business model and operational success 
  11. Manage assigned practices to achieve productivity goals. 
  12. Actively monitors QI activities of administrative site to institute strategies for improvement.
  13. Provides leadership, direction, and support Practice Managers to ensure financial and operational success
  14. Gains the trust and respect of the Providers. Maintains compliance of procedure and protocols in the Offices and coaches the practice managers while keeping the focus on patient care and satisfaction
  15. Provides overall operational management direction and guidance to regional offices on daily operations
  16. Works cooperatively with Practice Managers and other Behavioral Health leadership to meet and improve organizational patient experience
  17. Visits Offices as needed to assess office dynamics. Provides support and guidance when necessary.
  18. Facilitate staff meetings as required 
  19. Complete annual competencies within the required time frame 
  20. Perform other duties as assigned
