Job DetailsLevel: ManagementJob Location: Huntsville, AL 35802Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: Human Services Related M.S/M.A LVL Deg.Travel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: 2nd Shift (Monday-Friday)Job Category: Nonprofit - Social ServicesJob Description: The WES Crisis Services Supervisor provides training, oversight and supervision to provide guidance as needed for Intake Assistants, Triage Therapists, Mobile Crisis Teams, and Mental Health Co-Responders who are the first to respond for crisis intervention, assess the crisis clients, and navigate the initial treatment plan. This is a full-time, salaried position that works Monday-Friday, 3pm-11pm.

 

 

What you’ll be doing:


Accept supervision and carry out assigned tasks from the WES Crisis Services Manager in a timely manner.
Communicate on a regular basis and provide information pertinent to all staff under supervision providing services to the clients at WES.
Manage workflow processes to ensure the clients receive cohesive services throughout WellStone.
Provides training and supervision for all staff under supervision who are responsible for assisting and completing screening criteria for admission for clients transitioning into Wellstone Emergency Services.
Monitor work schedules for all staff under supervision to include Contract staff and review timesheets, providing updates on staff absences to WES Crisis Services Manager.
Monitor the phone system.
Ensure all staff documentation is completed in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with external administrative and clinical standards of care and applicable laws, including DMH, Medicaid, and State & Federal laws.
Provide a daily shift report to the WES Crisis Services Manager and WES Crisis Director on the status of intake, triage, and mobile crisis, and co-responder activities for individuals in crisis.
Attend and participate in meetings as required.
Complete other duties as assigned.

QualificationsWhat we’re looking for:


At least 2 years’ previous supervisory experience
Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a mental health discipline
Knowledge of working with a broad scope of clientele from varying demographic backgrounds and cultures
Prefer at least 2 years’ experience with population
Knowledge of behavior management, crisis intervention and interventions common to acute psychotic clients, as well as, to non-violent crisis intervention practice
Knowledge of treatment modalities appropriate to children and adults with severe and persistent psychiatric disorders
Ability to make sound clinical decisions
Driver’s License valid in AL and acceptable MVR
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent timeframe management, multi-tasking skills
