Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: BAMHA Brighton - Brighton, MA 02135Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $67,000.00 Salary/yearItalian Home for Children is seeking an Urgent Care Clinician responsible for providing therapeutic services and urgent intake assessments, safety planning, and/or short-term crisis management services with new clients at Italian Home for Children through the outpatient mental health clinic, Brighton Allston Mental Health Association. These services are provided on-site, in person and virtually via telehealth. The Urgent Care Clinician will also provide trauma-informed clinical services to children and adults through individual, group, and family/couples therapy at the clinic and/or via remote telehealth as clinically appropriate. Minimum three days in person services. In person and remote telehealth work schedule is subject to change. Flexible schedule, with required evening hours at least two days per week. This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits. 

 

The Urgent Care Clinician works with clients throughout the lifespan (4-80+ years) that are experiencing major mental illness and/or have experienced complex trauma and adversity that has impacted them socially, emotionally, and/or behaviorally. The Urgent Care Clinician is also responsible for case management and consultation services. The Urgent Clinician works closely with other treatment providers to ensure the highest quality of care to clients and their families. Flexible schedule, with required evening hours at least 2 days per week, and weekend hours at least 2 times per month, as needed. Currently three days in person at the Brighton clinic, and two days remote telehealth each week. In person and remote telehealth work schedule is subject to change. This is a salaried position with benefits.

Essential Functions & QualificationsFunctions:


Provide urgent care intake assessments, safety planning, and short-term crisis management both in person and virtual
Provide individual, group, and family/couples therapy to clients
Maintain regular contact with outside collaterals and parents/legal guardians
Work closely with interdisciplinary treatment team
Attend weekly supervision and clinical team meetings in person
Write initial psychosocial assessments, initial treatment plans, CANS assessments, bi-annual treatment plan reviews, progress notes, and discharge summaries within agency policy documentation requirements
Maintain set billable productivity expectations
Learn, implement, and demonstrate an understanding of the agency training and treatment philosophy
Evening and weekend clinician on-call duties approximately 1-2 weeks per quarter  


Qualifications:

 


Master level degree in social work or related field
MA state independent clinical license preferred (LICSW, LMHC)
Second language capacity preferred
1-2 years post Master’s experience preferred
Prior urgent care or mobile crisis clinical experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Experience working with children, adults, and their families; experience providing treatment to clients with social, emotional, and trauma concerns as well as mental health
Evidence of sensitivity and respect for client’s culture and socioeconomic characteristics
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of individual, group, and family/couples therapy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as computer literacy
Strong organizational skills, skilled at multi-tasking and prioritizing, skilled at meeting deadlines
Must be receptive and responsive to supervision and professional development
Confidence and strength at responding to emergencies quickly and safely
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
Comfort working independently and successfully navigating ambiguity.
Strong problem-solving, relationship-building, and change management capabilities.
Mission-driven and self-directed individual with passion for agency’s mission.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding clients and employees; adhere to all HIPPA regulations.
Visual and hearing acuity to perform job related functions

The expected base annual salary for this role is between $60,000-$67,000 USD, dependent on experience. This number does not reflect additional compensation-related benefits such as PTO, medical, dental, and life insurance, EAP and the Italian Home for Children 403(b) retirement plan.
