Position Summary:

A Clinical Training Coordinator who will help support the implementation, delivery, and coordination of agency-wide clinical training and professional development initiatives within a behavioral health organization, working under the direction of the Clinical Training Director to assist with onboarding, training delivery, and workforce development. This role collaborates with Clinical Leadership, Human Resources, and Compliance to support orientation, required trainings, and ongoing professional development while ensuring training standards are evidence-informed, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and aligned with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities & Role Highlights:

  • Develop and maintain standardized training programs for residential programs, including CSU, QRTP, CWC, Dani’s Place, and future PRTF services.
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based training on behavior management, de-escalation, therapeutic interventions, and trauma-informed care.
  • Train and coach staff on clinical documentation standards, EHR systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain required Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification and facilitate crisis prevention, intervention, and de-escalation training.
  • Lead monthly booster trainings focused on clinical skills, crisis response, medical and behavioral health emergencies, and identified training needs.
  • Conduct staff observations, competency assessments, code debriefings, and individualized coaching to identify and address training needs.
  • Support the Clinical Training Director with agency-wide training initiatives and the annual clinical training plan.
  • Coordinate new-hire onboarding, training schedules, competency tracking, and completion of required trainings.
  • Maintain training materials and ensure content reflects evidence-based practices, ethical standards, cultural responsiveness, and regulatory requirements.
  • Administer the Learning Management System (LMS), including training records, completion tracking, reporting, and compliance monitoring.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements based on staff needs, program priorities, and best practices.
  • Provide clinical training support across residential and community-based programs and remain current on behavioral health practices and technology.
  • Accommodate flexible scheduling, including occasional early morning, evening, and weekend training.
  • Collaborate effectively with clinical leadership, program teams, and staff across the organization.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Registered Nurse, Chemical
    dependency Counselor or related behavioral health field preferred.
  • Active clinical license in good standing (LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC) preferred.
  • CPI Required within first 90 days of hire.
  • CPR Required within first 90 days of Hire. 
  • Demonstrated experience developing, delivering, and evaluating clinical training or
    professional development initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health services, evidence-based practices, ethical
    standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience collaborating with HR and Compliance teams preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to travel between sites as
    necessary.
