Are you working toward independent clinical licensure and looking for an opportunity to build your skills in a community-based setting? Avivo is seeking a Therapist Trainee, Community Based (Part-Time) to provide therapeutic services to individuals and families while receiving supervision and support in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. This position plays a key role in helping people achieve greater stability, wellness, and recovery through person-centered, trauma-informed care.

What You'll Do


Complete diagnostic assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide individual, family, couples, and group therapy services.
Deliver trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and person-centered mental health services.
Conduct crisis assessments and provide intervention and stabilization support as needed.
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical needs.
Coordinate services with medical providers, schools, community organizations, and other support systems.
Connect clients with community resources and behavioral health services that support successful outcomes.
Maintain timely, accurate, and professional documentation in accordance with agency, state, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in clinical consultation, supervision, and multidisciplinary treatment planning.
Support Avivo's commitment to reducing disparities and advancing equitable access to behavioral health services.

Qualifications: What You Bring


Master's degree in a mental health-related field.
Actively pursuing licensure as an LPCC, LMFT, or LICSW.
Experience providing direct behavioral health or mental health services.
Knowledge of diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions.
Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and lived-experience backgrounds.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Experience with electronic health records and clinical documentation.
Commitment to trauma-informed care, recovery-oriented services, and person-centered practices.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel throughout the community as needed.
Ability to work a part-time schedule of 20 hours per week, primarily during afternoon and evening hours.
