Valley Springs Behavioral Health Hospital offers compassionate, high-quality inpatient and outpatient mental health and co-occurring treatment for teens, adults, and seniors. We provide a full-range of evidence-based medical and clinical services in a state-of-the-art, 150-bed hospital operated jointly with Lifepoint Behavioral Health and Baystate Health, in Holyoke, MA. Programs include inpatient mental health and co-occurring treatment, Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP).

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Provides direct assessment and counseling services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric clients.

  •  Provides individual, marital, family and group psychotherapy as assigned

  •  Maintains accurate and complete records, including adequate paperwork to facilitate properbilling.

  •  Knowledgeable of CPT Codes and their appropriate and effective application.

  • Maintains confidentiality of all patient, hospital, and employee related information.

  •  Delivers personalized, efficient care with respect for the individual’s spiritual and cultural differences.

  • Participates in community consultation and education as requested.

  •  Participates in facility treatment team meetings communicating clinical impressions.

  •  Compiles comprehensive patient/family history and records the data.

  •  Works to ensure effective performance and productivity maintaining a flexible schedule to accommodate patients.

Education and License:

 

• Education Required: A Bachelor’s degree from a college with a major in chemical dependency, social work, counseling or nursing (with a clinical specialty in human services), or other related field
• Experience Required: 1 year of clinical experience (a minimum of 1,820 hours) in a health or human service agency; Preferred: Clinical experience in a drug and alcohol setting
• Certification/Licensure/Registration
Required: LADC-I or LADC-II

  

Salary range: $69,000 - $93,000 per year
