Childhelp is a psychiatric residential treatment facility that specializes in the treatment of children aged 5-14 with mild to severe trauma or neglect, psychiatric disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders.  Our unique location on a 270-acre farm provides a nurturing treatment setting with a variety of therapy resources.  We bring the light of love and healing into the lives of countless abused and neglected children, and those suffering from psychiatric and behavioral disorders.  We take a holistic approach to serving our children along with meeting their physical, emotional and educational needs. Pay: Starting at $32/Hour, depending on education and licensure.

What you will do: As a Therapist at Childhelp, you will conduct individual, group and family therapy with clients assigned to your personal caseload or coverage for therapist while on out of office.  Responsible for overall delivery and implementation of each individual Client Treatment Plan, attending Child and Family Team meetings and treatment team meetings, and completing assessment, Client Treatment Plans and reports as required by the county and state.  Attend to clients, families, and referral source concerns as well as providing timely reports on treatment obstacles and progress.  Documents treatment interventions and results in a timely manner.  Also, you would conduct therapy groups weekly and as needed to support client growth.

To be considered you should: Be at least 21 years of age ~ Possess a Master’s degree in social work from an accredited School of Social Work or a Master’s degree in a related Mental Health field ~ Licensed by the State of Virginia as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC OR Licensed as a Resident in Counseling (RIC) or Supervisee in Social Work (SiSW) ~ Minimum of 2 years of work experience providing mental health counseling services to children, adolescents, and their families ~ Be able to perform a therapeutic restraint ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and TB test.

Schedule: PRN- on call or scheduled as needed for position vacancies, or staff time out of office. Flexible hours and days.
