Position Summary

Therapist's provide trauma-informed individual, family, and group therapy to children and adolescents receiving residential and/or acute services. This role partners with hospitals, schools, community mental health providers, families, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive treatment plans that support healing, stability, and long-term success.

Our therapists play a vital role in helping young people overcome trauma while strengthening family connections and improving outcomes throughout the community.

What You'll Do

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy using trauma-informed practices.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, discharge summaries, and clinical documentation.
  • Participate as an active member of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • Collaborate with hospitals, schools, community agencies, managed care organizations, and families to coordinate care.
  • Provide crisis intervention utilizing approved clinical tools and best practices.
  • Facilitate treatment review meetings with guardians and community partners.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency standards.
  • Participate in utilization review and insurance reporting as needed.
  • Remain available for assigned on-call responsibilities.
  • Maintain compliance with all state, federal, accreditation, and organizational requirements.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for children and adolescents.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution
  • Licensed to practice in the state(s) where services are provided
    • Accepted Licensure: LMSW, LSW, LSCSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC, LMFT, LCMFT.

Experience

  • Minimum of one year of supervised experience providing therapy to children and/or adolescents
  • Coursework in child and adolescent development, individual counseling, family therapy, and group counseling
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook

This position requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and other physical activities associated with providing therapeutic services in a residential treatment setting. Candidates must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
