Therapist - Intake Coordinator

Our therapist plays a critical role in facilitating client engagement process within mental health and outpatient counseling setting. This position is responsible for conducting thorough assessment to understand clients' needs, ensuring accurate documentation, and coordinating with clinical teams to develop appropriate treatment plans. The role requires balancing administrative coordination with empathetic client interaction to create a welcoming and supportive environment from the first appointment and as clients continue with our therapist. Ultimately, this position contributes to delivering high-quality care by ensuring clients are properly assessed and connected with the right therapeutic resources promptly and effectively.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related mental health field with licensure as LMSW, LCSW, LPC.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a therapist or counselor where applicable.
- Experience conducting client assessments.
- Strong knowledge of mental health practices, confidentiality laws (such as HIPAA), and ethical standards.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software.
Responsibilities:
- Review intake assessments to gather client history, presenting issues, and treatment goals.
- Coordinate scheduling of initial and follow-up appointments between clients and therapists.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for established clients, providing information about our outpatient services and answering inquiries.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate ongoing therapy.
- Manage administrative tasks related to client therapy and assessments.
