Therapeutic Treatment Director

The Therapeutic Treatment Director is responsible for directing and overseeing the treatment needs of youth receiving Mental & Behavioral Health Support Services, Human Trafficking Victim/Survivor Support Services, and Treatment Foster Family Care Support Services within assigned geographic areas. The Therapeutic Treatment Director provides clinical supervision, treatment direction, clinical consultation, and oversight of clinical risk to ensure children receive appropriate, trauma-informed, evidence-based services consistent with their assessed needs, CANS 3.0 results, service plans, applicable T3C service packages, and permanency goals.

• Direct and oversee the treatment needs of youth receiving T3C Mental & Behavioral Health, Human Trafficking Victim/Survivor, and Treatment Foster Family Care Support Services within assigned geographic areas.
• Review and provide clinical oversight of initial service plans, updates, and treatment recommendations to ensure services are appropriate to the child's individual needs, CANS 3.0 results, service package, clinical presentation, and permanency goals.
• Provide clinical supervision, treatment direction, consultation, and support to Staff Therapists to ensure treatment recommendations are effectively implemented, and therapeutic services appropriately address the needs of assigned children.
• Provide clinical consultation and direction regarding complex cases, changes in clinical presentation, treatment barriers, placement disruption, and other circumstances that may affect treatment, safety, or permanency.
• Provide oversight of clinical risk and crisis intervention, including risk assessment, safety planning, and coordination of appropriate interventions for children experiencing significant behavioral or mental health concerns.
• Participate in the supervisory after-hours on-call rotation providing supervision of staff therapists, clinical consultation, assessment, treatment direction, and support during crises.
• Provide clinical oversight of treatment planning in collaboration with case management, therapists, foster caregivers, families, and other members of the treatment team to ensure individualized treatment needs are addressed.
• Review client records and conduct periodic audits to monitor treatment planning, service-plan implementation, clinical progress, documentation, and the appropriateness of ongoing therapeutic services.
• Monitor clinical outcomes and recommend changes in treatment or service delivery when clinically indicated.
• Serve as a clinical liaison with Arrow’s MOU community-based therapy providers to support coordination of therapeutic services, implementation of treatment recommendations, and continuity of care consistent with the child’s service plan and clinical needs.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with qualified community-based therapy providers to ensure access to therapeutic services that meet the individualized needs of children served by Arrow.
• Establish provider relationships and agreements with community-based clinicians whose clinical approaches align with Arrow’s trauma-informed, evidence-based treatment framework, and provide or coordinate training, consultation, and ongoing support to promote consistency in treatment approaches and service delivery.
• Provide consultation, clinical direction, and education to foster caregivers, Arrow staff, therapists, community providers, families, and other members of the child's treatment team regarding clinical and treatment needs as appropriate.
• Support referral, screening, intake, and transition processes in accordance with T3C, state, and contracting requirements.
• Assist in identifying clinical trends, service gaps, and opportunities to improve treatment outcomes and service delivery within Therapeutic Services.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development activities, seminars, conferences, and other activities that support clinical excellence and professional growth.
• Travel to assigned Arrow offices and other locations within the assigned geographic area as necessary to provide clinical oversight, consultation, staff support, and other job-related responsibilities.
• Maintain knowledge of and compliance with applicable T3C requirements, state and federal regulations, Medicaid requirements, licensing standards, COA standards, and Arrow policies.
• Maintain professional licensure and complete all requirements of BHEC and/or applicable licensing boards within required timeframes.
• Perform all duties in accordance with applicable contracts, state and federal regulations, T3C requirements, Arrow policies, and COA standards.

• May be required to drive vehicles, be insurable with our auto insurance provider, and complete company vehicle training.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Doctoral degree with licensure as a psychiatrist or psychologist, or a Master’s degree in a human services field with current, LCSW, LPC, or LMFT licensure. Three (3) years of experience providing treatment services to children with emotional disorders is required, including at least one (1) year working with children in out-of-home care. Child welfare and complex trauma experience is required. Experience with treatment planning, risk assessment, crisis intervention, and multidisciplinary collaboration is preferred; clinical supervision licensure is also preferred.
