POSITION INFORMATION

Created is a residential recovery program for female survivors of human trafficking. We are currently seeking a counseling professional with a Master of Social Work and at least 2 years of experience to provide care for new intakes in our program. This is a part-time position of approximately 10 hours per week and may be filled either by an individual clinician, compensated at $25 per hour, or by a qualified agency provider.

The position may also be filled by a qualified agency that accepts Ambetter Health insurance and is credentialed to bill for services through Ambetter. The selected provider must be able to conduct assessments and provide ongoing counseling services on-site at our safe house in Lutz.


GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

 

The Therapeutic Support Specialist (TSS) will play an integral role in the success of Created Women’s ministry to women impacted by sexual exploitation. The Therapeutic Support Specialist will bear responsibility for supporting the Program Director and case managers in fostering physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being of the women we serve.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Complete Bio-Psychosocial Assessment with incoming residents to the Harbor program within one week of their intake.
  • Assist with goal planning based on the biopsychosocial assessment.
  • Conduct weekly therapy sessions with new residents for the duration of their stay in the Harbor Program. (The Harbor/Assessment House program is typically the first 60-90 days of the program)
  • Provide Crisis Counseling.
  • Facilitate therapeutic groups/classes with residents.
  • Supervision of interns.
  • Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Program Director.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

  • Evidence of deep alignment with Created Women Inc mission and values.
  • Must be sensitive to and respect cultural diversity amongst clients, staff, and volunteers.
  • Ability to empathize and practice trauma-informed care with those who have experienced various levels of trauma.
  • Successfully pass an FDLE Level II and DMV background check.
  • Have some flexibility to adapt hours to meet the needs of the women we serve.
  • Hold an MSW degree with 2 years experience.



GENERAL STATEMENTS

 

  • The TSS shall refrain from any activity that may be construed as, or lead to, a conflict of interest. Shall, under no circumstances, use Created Women, Inc contacts or resources or represent Created in any process for personal gain.
  • The TSS shall refrain from executing any legal documents on behalf of Created Women, Inc.
  • The TSS shall maintain confidentiality of all information received in view of her position and shall not, at the time of termination as an employee of Created Women, Inc, remove any records, documents, software, or other programs that shall be construed to be the property of Created.
  • The TSS shall comply with guidelines relating to activity and achievement reporting including periodic personnel conferences with supervisory staff.
