Job Summary:

Teen PEP is a youth-led violence prevention program that partners with schools in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.  As the Teen Peers Educating Peers (PEP) Coordinator, you will lead the day-to-day operations including training and overall program implementation. You will coordinate services and engage in program expansion efforts to recruit new school partnerships. You will train and supervise peer leaders at each school. 

The coordinator participates in developing grant proposals and budgets and submits timely reports to meet hospital and funder requirements.

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Education, Public Health, Social Work, or related field 
  • Years of Experience: 1-3 years working with youth populations and/or youth programming 
  • License/Certification: Valid Driver’s License- Ability to travel between various job sites locally as well as within the region and state of Ohio and Michigan. Use of private vehicle required for business travel with company travel reimbursement provided. 

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS 

  • Education: Master's Degree  
  • Skills: Grant writing skills. Working knowledge of current research and evidence-based practices with regard to promoting effective youth violence prevention strategies, highly preferred.
