Job Summary

The Supportive and Independent Living Services (SLS) Program Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, supervision, and management of the SLS program. This position oversees staff development, training, performance improvement, and the implementation of quality services in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

The Program Manager works closely with individuals served, their families, and their circle of support to ensure services are person-centered, effective, and aligned with each individual's needs, preferences, and goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, supervision, and ongoing support to program staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee staff development, training, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate program policies and procedures to ensure quality services and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with individuals served and their circle of support throughout the assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation processes.
  • Review referral packets and assess prospective individuals served to determine program suitability and service needs.
  • Coordinate with Regional Center counselors and other service providers to support individual needs and service plans.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with individuals served, families, and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support to families regarding Redwood Family Care Network services and available resources.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Monitor service quality and identify opportunities for program improvement.
  • Assist with community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote program awareness and growth.
  • Maintain knowledge of Title 17 and Title 22 regulations, applicable federal and state laws, Regional Center requirements, Department of Social Services regulations, Individual Program Plans (IPPs), and behavior modification programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of supervisory experience, including experience supervising approximately 5–30 employees.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid California Driver's License.
  • Must successfully complete all required pre-employment screening, including a background check.
  • Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, employees, Regional Centers, and community partners.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform the physical and operational duties necessary to support the program and individuals served.
