The Supervisor of Reintegration is responsible for the direct supervision, coordination, and training of staff handling a caseload with a goal of reintegration.
- Assists with managing the program’s budget by monitoring children/youth, family and staff expenditures.
- Directly supervise the day-to-day operations of Case Managers and Family Support Workers.
- Responsible for overseeing staff schedules, employee evaluations, and resolving staff conflicts.
- Provides leadership for staff by modeling expectations and behaviors consistent with the mission and values of Saint Francis Ministries.
- Holds monthly intentional and individual supervision meetings with all staff assigned and documents the interaction.
- Participates in monthly case staffing’s and quality reviews and ensures documentation of events is completed timely and according to policy.
- Provides feedback to staff related to achieving permanency goals for children/youth and families in a timely fashion.
- Assures that assessments and documentation meet guidelines for timeliness and accuracy.
- Assign cases, maintaining appropriate staffing ratios.
- Serves as relief a Case Manager, when needed due to vacancies and absences.
- Assures that permanency goals and services for children/youth and families are appropriate to meet their needs and are established and achieved in a timely manner.
- Provides support to staff during crisis situations.
- Monitors overall client satisfaction of the program and evaluates and participates in performance improvement. Advises Director of the findings.
- Liaison with DCF, courts, schools, providers, and communities. Attend community and judicial meetings as required to support case management services.
- Attends court to support staff, to assist with difficult cases, or to testify in hearings.
- Ensure staff are professional during hearings, dressed in the appropriate business attire, and following court orders.
- Reviews and signs off on court reports making sure the reports are professional, addresses permanency and recommendations, are accurate, and timely.
- Participates in Team Decision Making (TDM’s) meetings as required.
- Supports kinship and foster families to maintain placements and help provide stability to children and youth in care.
- Manages the physical environment in offices by making sure the space is clean, in good repair, and safe for children/youth/families and staff.
- Promotes a positive relationship throughout Saint Francis Ministries.
- Make sure there is a seamless transition of cases when new workers are assigned.
- Works with staff to develop a plan of success to meet state and organizational outcomes.
- Documents monthly case staffing’s timely and with accuracy addressing safety, permanency, and well-being.
- Responsible for following the organization’s onboarding process and training of new staff.
- Facilitates regular team meetings to review policy, outcomes, and changes within the organization.
- On-call rotation where you will be available outside of regular working hours to address any urgent issues that arise during your rotation. The essential functions during on-call periods include:
- Availability: Ensure that you are reachable via phone or designated communication channels at all times during the on-call period.
- Rapid Response: Respond to all calls or notifications immediately.
- Problem Resolution: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues promptly. If unable to resolve an issue independently, escalate it to the appropriate Director on-call.
- Travel: Be prepared to travel short notice to various locations throughout the State as required to address on-site issues. This may include travel to company facilities, client sites, or other relevant locations.
- Documentation: Record all incidents, actions taken, and resolutions in the designated documentation system or log. Ensure that a clear handover is provided if the issue extends beyond the on-call period.
- May travels throughout the state of Kansas to provide case management services to children/youth and families.
- Work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of staff, children, families, and community partners.
- Implements Saint Francis Ministries policies and follows directives as required. Adheres to and ensures staff follow all pertinent Saint Francis Ministries Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), rules, personnel policies, and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state, and local rules, statutes, regulations, and contractual terms.
- Reports critical incidents to DCF according to policy.
- Reports unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channels.
- Ensures clients’ rights are protected.
- Is knowledgeable of and ensures staff follow all safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Service field from an accredited college or university.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or Addictions Counseling from an accredited college or university, preferred.
- Licensed to practice in the State of Kansas, preferred.
- Two years of child welfare and/or supervisory experience.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must pass a drug screen, MVR, KBI, Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry Clearance check and an Adult Registry Check.
- FBI Fingerprint check.
- Lifting requirement of 50 lbs.
- Must have valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
