Job DetailsJob Location: On Campus Transition - Jacksonville, FL 32224Position Summary:
The Student Services Coordinator oversees student life and residential services for students in The Arc 
Jacksonville's On Campus Transition (OCT) Program at the University of North Florida. This position 
supports students in developing independence, participating in campus life, and managing residential 
services.

Reports To: Director of Education Services / Assistant Director of OCT
Supervises: Independent Living Mentors (ILMs)


Schedule Expectations
This role requires the ability to work a flexible schedule based on program needs. Regular hours may vary, 
with one to two days per week including mid-day through evening shifts to support student engagement, 
residential programming, and staff supervision. Occasional evenings and weekends are required for 
community outings, special events, and other program-related activities.


Key Responsibilities:
Student Life
• Coordinate and oversee student activities, events, and community outings. 
• Develop and organize weekly and monthly activity calendars that support independent living and 
employment skills with student input and collaboration from ILMs.
• Support partnerships with UNF and community organizations to enhance student experience. 
• Help students explore and connect with on-campus and off-campus volunteer opportunities, 
internships, clubs, and interest-based activities to build confidence, foster independence, and 
encourage meaningful social and community engagement.
• Assist with OCT courses and special programs. 
• Develop, support, and implement an independent living curriculum for students across all class 
levels. 
• Ensure student and family paperwork is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.


Residential Services
• Supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate ILMs. 
• Ensure students receive individualized independent living instruction and support. 
• Monitor student progress toward personal goals and maintain accurate documentation. 
• Ensure all residential records, contracts, reports, and emergency information are current. 
• Serve as the liaison with campus housing partners, including Osprey Fountains and FrassatiNewman Hall. 
• Maintain positive working relationships with UNF Housing and Residential Life staff to support 
student success and address housing-related needs. 
• Submit and communicate all maintenance requests for dorms and apartments in a timely 
manner.
• Schedule and coordinate apartment cleaning and carpet cleanings as needed. 
• Assist with inventory and tracking of apartment supplies.
• Responsible for distributing and collecting apartment keys from students and participants during 
transitions between programs. 
• Conduct regular apartment checks to ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper maintenance. 
• Respond to emergencies, behavioral concerns, and student support needs. 
• Maintain regular communication with students, families, housing staff, and service providers. 
• Oversee the day-to-day operations and coordination of the Summer LIFE program.


General Responsibilities
• Maintain confidentiality and respect for all students.
• Promote a positive, professional, and supportive environment.
• Follow all agency, APD, and program policies and procedures.
• Report safety concerns, incidents, and emergencies promptly.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
QualificationsQualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, Disability Services, 
Business, Public Health, or a related field.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental differences (IDD).
• Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and adapt to changing needs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Canva.
• Experience with documentation, reporting, and record management preferred.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, families, university personnel, 
and community partners.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive The Arc Jacksonville vehicles.


Salary: $40,000-$50,000
