The mission of Family Support Services is to be the leader in providing safety, stability, and quality of life for all children by working with the community to strengthen the family unit.

Job Summary:

The STEPS Family Advocate Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of the STEPS prevention program and all personnel assigned to that department. The supervisor is responsible for providing training, guidance and management activities on all activities related to the STEPS prevention program.

Essential Duties:


Provide training, guidance, support, and supervision to STEPS Family Advocates
Participate in the selection, hiring, and evaluation of staff
Monitors caseloads, schedules, training requirements, and individual staffing assignments
Reviews work of staff to ensure safety, compliance, confidentiality, timelessness, appropriateness, and completeness of services
Completes reports, admissions forms, and closure forms and reviews audit case files
Observes and reports client change in status to program director
Assists prevention specialist in identifying and coordinating available services for families and providing conflict resolution and crisis intervention services to families
Other Duties As needed
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: 

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in social services required.

Experience: 

At least two years of child welfare experience with supervisory experience preferred.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: 

Valid drivers license.
