This position is ideal for someone who understands the NYC Early Intervention system, knows how to work with therapists and providers, and can move quickly to ensure children receive services without unnecessary delays.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate staffing of Early Intervention cases across all five boroughs.

  • Recruit, communicate with, and maintain relationships with EI therapists and providers.

  • Maintain accurate records of open, staffed, pending, and declined cases.

  • Work closely with Service Coordinators, families, therapists, and internal case management staff.

  • Monitor provider availability and maintain an active provider database.

  • Ensure newly assigned providers complete necessary onboarding and credentialing requirements.

  • Track case assignments from referral through confirmed start of services.

  • Identify staffing shortages by borough, discipline, language, and schedule and develop recruitment strategies to address them.

  • Supervise and support staffing team members and help establish daily staffing priorities.

  • Provide management with regular updates on open cases, staffing performance, and unresolved issues.

  • Help ensure services begin as quickly as possible after authorization and assignment.

Cases May Include

  • ABA / Special Instruction

  • Speech Therapy

  • Occupational Therapy

  • Physical Therapy

  • Social Work

  • Psychology

  • Other Early Intervention services

Qualifications

  • Experience with NYC Early Intervention strongly preferred.

  • Previous experience in EI staffing, service coordination, provider relations, healthcare staffing, therapy staffing, or case management preferred.

  • Strong understanding of the five NYC boroughs and provider coverage areas.

  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills.

  • Comfortable making a high volume of calls, texts, and emails to providers.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

What We Are Looking For

We need someone who takes ownership of cases.

The right candidate will not simply send out case lists and wait for responses. This person should actively work cases, contact providers, follow up, recruit when necessary, troubleshoot difficult placements, and continue working until appropriate coverage is secured.

You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced Early Intervention environment where responsiveness and accountability matter.
