Job DetailsJob Location: 66 Boerum Place, 66 Boerum Place, Brooklyn, NY, 11201 - Brooklyn, NY 11201Position Type: Full-TimeEducation Level: Masters Degree or EquivalentSalary Range: $70,000.00 - $70,000.00 SalaryTravel Percentage: Up to 25%Job Shift: DayThe Socio-Therapist Supervisor provides clinical and administrative oversight to a team of socio-therapists delivering trauma-informed, community-based oversight and services to children and families involved in foster care. This role ensures high-quality clinical practice through supervision, coaching, case consultation, and oversight of treatment planning, while promoting child safety, permanency, and well-being. The supervisor collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, oversees documentation and regulatory compliance, supports staff development and performance management, and helps ensure the effective delivery of evidence-based services.

Essential Functions and Primary Responsibilities: 

Clinical Oversight


Provide supervision with professional coaching model and supervisor case reviews for Socio-Therapist unit (2-3 socio-therapists)
Assess child needs and foster home characteristics to collaborate with program intake to match children with enhanced foster parents.
Oversees each placement, finalizes individual treatment plans for children after discussion with foster parents and staff, monitors each case, and updates treatment plans as necessary.
Responsible for the overall administrative and child welfare supervision of cases provide consultation to socio-therapists on assessing for safety and risk and crisis intervention.
Collaborate with medical, mental health, and model consultants on all evidence-based model interventions being implemented in clinical services. Participate in model specific consultation where applicable.
Collaborate closely with enhanced case planning supervisor.
Participate in case conferences, family team conferences, and meetings with clients, foster parents and other stakeholders as needed. Co-lead monthly treatment team meetings on each caseload.
Participate in staff meetings, supervision/coaching, trainings (including supervisor academy and leadership forums) and strategic planning activities.


Administrative and Management Oversight


Supervise 5 socio-therapist; Provide coverage for socio-therapist in event of PTO, a schedule conflict or vacancy.
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies to ensure 24/7 emergency coverage for families.
Responsible for completing and submitting staff evaluations; resolve and address staff issues; participate in hiring, disciplinary actions.



Review all Progress Notes, Court Reports, correspondence and other documentation, ensuring quality and timely submission.
Responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate submission of all forms and documents required by ACS and NYF. Ensures adherence to all city and state mandates, including documentation of necessary contacts by caseworkers.
Maintain written supervisory records.
Compile and provide regular report updates to DAA, and other foster care support documents.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned, consistent with the scope, responsibilities, and level of the position, and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.

Qualifications 


MSW or MS/MA in other related human service field and 2-3 post masters experience Required.
Ability to work with diverse population of clients and team members.
Must be highly organized with ability to meet program deliverables and deadlines.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience supporting families and adolescents with social services. Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based, youth development and trauma informed perspective.
Ability to work flexible hours - some evenings to support staff needs.
Ability to use public transportation to travel throughout New York City or Agency vehicle when available.
Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
