Department Overview

 

The Social Work department provides emotional support and counseling to children and their families. They provide crisis intervention services, help with adjustment issues, grief and loss counseling, mental health assessments, case coordination, community advocate support, and short-term therapeutic interventions.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Clinical Social Worker, Part-Time .8 FTE, to provide care and service in our Cancer and Blood Disorders Clinic. This role will also follow patients who are hospitalized, through their journey of care.  At times, this work may include end of life care.  The Social Worker is part of a robust multidisciplinary team, providing clinical support to patients and families during a new diagnosis, and as they navigate health systems.  We are rooted in trauma informed care, and health equity. 

 
License/Certification/Registration required? Yes
* Minnesota State LGSW, LICSW preferred

Education:
* Master's degree in social work required.

Experience:
* Experience providing crisis intervention.
* Two years experience with counseling in a health care related setting or two years experience in a pediatric related setting or completion of graduate internship in either of the above settings.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
* Knowledge of community resources.
* Ability to provide good, clear documentation of work.

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Annual salaries displayed are based on full-time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Annual salaries for part-time positions will be prorated based on the employee’s scheduled weekly hours in relation to the full-time standard. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs.

In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
