About Us

The Just One Project's mission is to increase access to food, resources, and supportive services to build a stronger, healthier, and more connected community. The Just One Project has a culture of attracting the most passionate and talented people to represent The Just One Project by reinforcing strong values, work life balance, and diversity. We know that our company culture ultimately affects client experience. Every program is designed with our clients in mind; we are "client-centric."

Everything we do is guided by our core values: Respect, Integrity, Innovation, and Compassion, and by our Gold Standard of service. We believe every person who walks through our doors deserves to be treated with the same care, dignity, and respect as you'd want for your own family, whether they're picking up groceries or asking for help with something much harder. We're looking for someone who doesn't just agree with these values, but lives them out in how they treat every neighbor they serve.

About the Role

As a Shared Housing Case Manager, you'll walk alongside individuals and families moving from housing instability toward lasting independence. Working at the intersection of case management and housing coordination, you'll support clients from initial assessment through lease negotiation and roommate matching. You'll build trusted relationships with clients, landlords, and community partners alike, making sure every participant has the tools, resources, and encouragement needed to achieve safe, stable, self-sufficient living.

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some evening or on-call availability may be required to respond to client crises, and quarterly field work is required for shared housing inspections.

What You'll Do

  • Carry a caseload of approximately 20–25 clients requiring hands-on case management
  • Conduct client assessments to identify service needs and barriers to housing stability
  • Develop housing case plans in partnership with clients, focused on housing, health, and essential needs
  • Maintain accurate, timely records in HMIS and other required systems
  • Serve as liaison between clients and landlords, supporting lease negotiations and mediating issues
  • Help clients find safe, affordable shared housing and match with compatible roommates
  • Conduct home inspections to ensure safety and habitability
  • Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and connection to emergency services
  • Connect clients to food assistance, SNAP benefits, and financial literacy education
  • Build and maintain a referral network across community agencies
  • Represent The Just One Project at community events, including a minimum of 6 Pop Up & Give events per year

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years in case management, social services, housing services, or a related field
  • Experience with crisis intervention and safety planning
  • Experience using HMIS or similar case management databases, with strong documentation skills
  • Experience in a nonprofit setting and/or with vulnerable populations
  • A valid, unrestricted Nevada driver's license and reliable transportation, required for home inspections
  • Ability to obtain a Nevada Food Handler Safety Training Card within 30 days of hire
  • A client centered, trauma informed approach and sound judgment in high-stress situations
  • A genuine connection to our mission and a commitment to living out our core values of Respect, Integrity, Innovation, and Compassion in your daily work

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation based on experience.Β As a Staff Tier team member, you'll also receive:
