Senior EHR Solutions Trainer & Subject Matter Expert (Clinical / Revenue Cycle)

Location: United States
Travel: Up to 100%

Important Requirements

This role supports federal healthcare clients. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain a Public Trust or other government clearance based on the assignment. Travel may reach 100% and includes customer-site support during deployments and go-live activities.

The Role

Oracle Health Consulting is looking for an experienced clinical trainer to support large-scale electronic health record implementations and adoption efforts, particularly within federal healthcare environments.

In this role, you will deliver engaging training, help users understand clinical and operational workflows, and support teams through deployment, go-live, and ongoing adoption. You will combine clinical experience, training expertise, and system knowledge to help users feel confident and productive with Oracle Health solutions.

You will primarily support one of the following specialties:

  • Ambulatory
  • Case management, including geriatrics, mental health, or social work
  • Inpatient
  • Revenue cycle

 

What You Will Do

Deliver Effective Training

  • Facilitate instructor-led and virtual training for learners with different roles, skill levels, and learning needs.
  • Deliver deployment, go-live, refresher, and sustainment training.
  • Create and update job aids, facilitator guides, exercises, and other learning resources as workflows and system configurations change.
  • Apply adult learning principles and learner feedback to improve engagement, understanding, and retention.

 

Support Clinical Workflows and Adoption

  • Serve as a clinical subject matter resource for your assigned specialty.
  • Translate complex clinical and technical workflows into training that is practical and easy to understand.
  • Identify knowledge gaps, adoption barriers, and areas of resistance.
  • Recommend practical solutions such as refresher sessions, office hours, microlearning, or targeted remediation.
  • Help learners understand how system and workflow decisions affect their daily work.

 

Coach Trainers and Improve Quality

  • Observe training sessions and provide clear, constructive feedback to trainers.
  • Conduct one-on-one coaching to improve delivery quality and consistency.
  • Support instructor readiness and reinforce training standards across the program.
  • Use learner feedback and performance trends to continuously improve training.

 

Measure and Communicate Results

  • Track training measures such as completion, satisfaction, proficiency, and skill improvement.
  • Adjust training plans based on learner performance and project needs.
  • Provide clear updates to project teams and senior leaders regarding progress, risks, and recommendations.
  • Partner with clinical, technical, operational, and external teams to keep training aligned with solution design and business goals.

 

Support Solution Readiness

  • Use your system knowledge to explain workflow dependencies, system behavior, and the impact of design decisions.
  • Align training scenarios and exercises with configuration decisions.
  • Help identify and reduce workflow or system-related risks before deployment and go-live.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, learning and development, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant clinical, healthcare training, consulting, or EHR experience.
  • Current professional clinical license, such as a Registered Nurse license, and previous hands-on clinical practice experience.
  • Experience delivering EHR training and applying adult learning principles in healthcare settings.
  • Experience coaching learners or trainers and supporting end-user adoption.
  • Experience working with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex clinical and technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to adapt quickly, work independently, and remain customer-focused in changing project environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with learning management systems and digital learning tools is preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain the government clearance required for the assignment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 100%.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large-scale EHR implementations, deployments, or go-lives.
  • Experience working with federal agencies or within similarly regulated healthcare environments.
  • Experience conducting learning needs analyses and developing end-to-end training programs.
  • Experience assessing training effectiveness and using data to improve learner performance.
  • Advanced degree in informatics, nursing, education, or a related discipline.
  • Experience creating scenario-based learning, job aids, microlearning, or blended learning programs.

 

Travel and Work Environment

This position may require travel up to 100%, depending on project needs. Travel includes customer-site support during implementation, deployment, and go-live activities.

Additional or irregular hours, including evenings or weekends, may be required during critical project periods. Certain assignments may also require compliance with customer immunization and occupational health requirements.

An experienced professional who is a domain and process expert with a broad understanding of practices and solutions within the relevant area of focus. Effectively consults with management of external customer organizations to handle escalations and lead customer discussions.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $82,500 to $166,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
