Job overview:
The purpose of the PRIME contract is to provide community-based, culturally responsive, and linguistically appropriate services that support refugees in gaining and using the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in their new communities, connect to existing services and resources, promote health and well-being, and empower them to achieve successful integration, mobility, and long-term self-sufficiency in Washington State.
The Senior Case Management Specialist provides advanced case management services to refugees and other eligible populations facing significant barriers to self-sufficiency and integration. This position manages complex cases, serves as a subject matter expert on PRIME service delivery, supports quality assurance activities, provides guidance and mentorship to program staff, and helps ensure compliance with program requirements and best practices.
Major Responsibilities:
- Advanced Case Management
- Manage a caseload of participants with complex needs, including survivors of domestic violence, older refugees, individuals with significant medical or mental health concerns, and households experiencing multiple barriers to self-sufficiency.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop service strategies that address complex client situations.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary interventions with internal teams and external service providers.
- Serve as the lead case manager for high-priority or escalated cases.

Resource Navigation
- Provide direct assistance to participants by helping them complete applications for essential benefits (like cash, food, or medical aid), connecting them to needed services, referring them to other agencies, and teaching them how to use online systems to manage tasks independently.
- Record all participant interactions in a tracking system noting the date, staff member, and services provided.
- Workshops
- Lead workshops and educational sessions on approved PRIME topics.
- Develop workshop materials and community resources to support participant learning and integration.
- Represent the program at community meetings
- Ensure accurate workshop documentation is completed.
- Conduct outreach to prospective workshop partners.

Subcontractors
- Support subcontractors with implementing PRIME services
- Attend subcontractor meetings
- Answer questions and provide guidance when needed
- Review reports and case files
- Act as point of contact for referrals to the PRIME program.
- Support with the onboarding and training of new staff.
- Attend community events to conduct outreach, make connections, and expand workshop partnerships.
- Assist in completing quarterly reporting and invoicing.
- Ensure accurate documentation and case filing of each service carried out under the PRIME contract.
- Attend and engage in all team meetings, staff meetings, trainings and other relevant meetings and participate fully as a member of the IRC team.
- Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree with an emphasis in Social Work or an equivalent field of study; equivalent experience may be substituted.
- Two to three years of relevant work experience. A significant portion of this experience should include responsibilities in social services, humanitarian relief, public service, or other not-for-profit environments.
- A proven record of increasingly responsible roles in a mission and outcome driven environment.
- Highly organized self-starter with proven success handling multiple priorities, making critical decisions, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated success achieving goals and communicating effectively a multi-cultural environment.
- Strong communications skills, both oral and written, are required for this role.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written; other language ability in one of the predominant languages of the local client base preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle with current insurance, and the ability to travel regularly throughout the service delivery area.
Working Environment:
- Standard, professional office environment; hybrid remote, office, and field work
- May require occasional weekend and /or evening work
Compensation: ($29/hr-$32/hr). Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements
