Youth Consultation Service (YCS) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join our educational team. In this role, you will provide counseling, advocacy, crisis intervention, and family support services to help students achieve social, emotional, behavioral, and academic success.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling using evidence-based practices
  • Conduct assessments to identify student needs and barriers to learning
  • Develop and implement student support plans in collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Participate in IEP development and meetings
  • Provide crisis intervention services when needed
  • Promote student attendance and address truancy concerns
  • Address bullying and harassment concerns and support school safety initiatives
  • Connect students and families with community resources and support services
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services, contacts, and student progress
  • Participate in staff meetings, supervision, educational conferences, and professional development activities
  • Build and maintain partnerships with community agencies and residential programs

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy
  • New Jersey Department of Education School Social Worker Certification
  • Strong understanding of student social-emotional development and school-based interventions
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and crisis management skills

Additional Requirements
