About the Opportunity

AnthroMed Education is seeking a passionate and collaborative School Social Worker to support a small specialized educational program serving Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across multiple school locations.

This is a unique opportunity to support a close-knit program with just 29 students total, spanning ages 3–18. Approximately 26 students currently receive social work services through their IEPs, though the School Social Worker will be available to support all students within the program.

The Social Worker will provide integrated and push-in services across three school locations and four classrooms, helping students thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide push-in and integrated school social work services
  • Deliver SEL lessons and individualized social work support
  • Support students across ages 3–18
  • Provide individual services based on student needs and IEP requirements
  • Collaborate with educators and school staff across multiple locations
  • Conduct outreach and build relationships with families
  • Connect families with helpful resources and additional support
  • Participate as a collaborative member of the educational team
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and support IEP services

Caseload Details

  • Support a small program with approximately 29 students total
  • Approximately 26 students currently receive social work support through their IEPs
  • Available to provide support to all students within the program as needed
  • Serve students across three school locations and four classrooms
  • Student population ranges from ages 3–18
  • Focus on integrated services, SEL instruction, individual student support, and family outreach

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students is welcomed but not required. Candidates without prior experience should have a strong interest in learning about Deaf culture and sign language.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate School Social Work endorsement
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Passion for supporting students with diverse social and emotional needs
  • Interest in learning about Deaf culture and supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students preferred
