What You'll Do

Support Student Well-Being

• Provide individual and small group support to students
• Help students navigate challenges such as anxiety, peer relationships, behavior, and family concerns
• Teach coping strategies, emotional regulation, and positive decision-making skills
• Provide crisis intervention during urgent or sensitive situations

Collaborate with a Dedicated Team

• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff
• Participate in student support and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Offer guidance on student behavior and social-emotional development

Contribute to Student Success Plans

• Assist in the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans
• Help identify effective accommodations and interventions
• Monitor student progress toward social-emotional and behavioral goals

Engage and Support Families

• Maintain regular communication with families
• Provide tools and resources to support students at home
• Build strong partnerships between school and home

Connect Students to Resources

• Link students and families with community services
• Build relationships with mental health and family support organizations

Maintain Documentation & Compliance

• Accurately document student interactions and services
• Support compliance with school policies and procedures

What We're Looking For

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field (preferred)

Experience

• Experience working with children or adolescents in a school or youth-focused setting (preferred)
• Experience supporting students with social-emotional or behavioral needs is a plus

Key Skills & Strengths

• Strong understanding of social-emotional development and behavioral supports
• Familiarity with IEPs, 504 Plans, and intervention strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build trust and create a safe, inclusive environment
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
• Commitment to professionalism and confidentiality
