St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS)
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Schedule: Full-time, 40+ hours/week (evenings, weekends, and on-call rotation required)


About the Role

St. Augustine Youth Services is seeking a Residential Director / Program Director to lead our residential program serving youth with behavioral health needs. This is a hands-on leadership role combining program oversight, staff supervision, and direct clinical work, including therapy and maintaining a small caseload.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and a structured, supportive environment for both staff and youth.


What You’ll Do

Leadership & Program Oversight


Provide clinical and operational oversight of the residential program
Supervise Weekday, Weekend, and Awake Supervisors, Behavioral Health Technicians, and direct care staff (house parents, awake staff)
Ensure compliance with Medicaid, state, and CARF standards
Oversee incident reporting, QA processes, and IRAS reporting
Maintain program structure including behavior systems, schedules, and activities
Monitor program performance, outcomes, and budget alignment
Participate in community outreach and fundraising efforts


Clinical Responsibilities


Provide individual, group, and family therapy as needed
Maintain a small clinical caseload
Act as primary or backup therapist when needed
Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with all stakeholders (families, schools, providers, etc.)
Provide clinical oversight and guidance to staff
Assist with crisis intervention in residential, school, or community settings
Support treatment planning, service delivery, and discharge planning


Operations & Coordination


Oversee admissions, referrals, and intake processes
Ensure accurate and timely documentation and reporting
Maintain client records and ensure proper file management and discharge closure
Coordinate MDTs, staffing, and Independent Living/CFS meetings
Maintain calendars for activities, appointments, and treatment-related events
Communicate regularly with staff, including leading meetings and sharing updates

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications


Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field
Minimum 2 years of experience working with children, preferably in a residential or behavioral health setting
