Residential Manager - Neighborhood Foster Homes
Are you called to a meaningful career dedicated to providing Home, Healing, and Hope for children in foster care? 4KIDS is seeking a compassionate, mission-driven Residential Manager to provide leadership, supervision, training, and ongoing support to our Neighborhood Foster Home parents and support staff. This role helps ensure children and youth receive excellent, Christ-centered care in a safe, nurturing, and well-supported home environment.
Job Duties
- Provide leadership, supervision, coaching, training, and ongoing support to house parents and direct-care staff
- Foster a healthy, effective, and collaborative team environment through regular communication, guidance, and support
- Coach and equip house parents to respond effectively to crisis situations, challenging behaviors, and the unique needs of children and youth in care
- Provide timely support and guidance to house parents when urgent or complex situations arise
- Spiritually lead and encourage staff through Scripture, prayer, and Biblical principles while modeling the mission and values of 4KIDS
- Ensure Neighborhood Foster Homes operate in compliance with 4KIDS policies and procedures, licensing requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable ChildNet and DCF standards
- Exercise sound judgment and discernment regarding placement decisions while considering the individual needs, strengths, and circumstances of current and prospective residents
- Attend court hearings, multidisciplinary staffings, and other meetings as needed to advocate for the best interests and needs of residents and support house parents
- Assist with transportation of residents to and from school, work, family visits, court hearings, medical appointments, and other necessary activities when designated staff are unavailable
- Track and report program metrics, trends and outcomes to leadership
- Participate in and oversee crises or after-hours needs as required
Job Requirements
- Committed Christian with alignment with 4KIDS statement of faith, mission, and values
- A bachelor's or graduate level degree in social work or a related field, Master's degree preferred
- Knowledge of trauma informed care and best practices for serving children and youth who have experienced abuse, neglect, trauma, or placement disruption
- Strong understanding of child supervision, safety, and appropriate boundaries in a residential or foster care setting
- Minimum of two years of supervisory and child welfare experience preferred
- Experience working with children or youth with higher behavioral, emotional, or therapeutic needs strongly preferred
- Strong crisis management, problem-solving, and decision making skills
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and after-hours support as program needs require
- Must maintain current certifications determined by program, including becoming Child Welfare certified through the Florida Certification Board
