Residential Clinical Treatment Director

A Day in the Life 

You will provide clinical leadership for our Residential Treatment & Emergency Shelter program while supporting and developing a team of Clinical Therapists. You'll help ensure youth receive consistent, high-quality, trauma-informed and recovery-based care. You'll also work closely with residential leadership, treatment teams, youth and families, DCBS, schools, healthcare providers and community partners to support positive outcomes and coordinated care.

How This Position Contributes to our Mission 

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for Residential Treatment & Emergency Shelter services ensuring consistent, high-quality, trauma-informed care
• Supervise, mentor, train and develop Clinical Therapists, including providing clinical supervision required for professional licensure
• Partner with residential leadership to integrate clinical practices into daily programming, behavior support and crisis response
• Provide consultation and guidance on complex cases, treatment approaches, safety concerns, crisis intervention and effective therapeutic strategies
• Facilitate regular case reviews and multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to evaluate progress, address barriers and ensure coordinated care
• Monitor clinical practices, treatment outcomes and program trends to support continuous improvement and consistent implementation of trauma-informed care
• Provide clinical assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention and individual or family therapy as needed for coverage or complex clinical needs
• Participate in a supervisory on-call rotation and provide clinical consultation and emergency support as needed

Clinical Treatment Director Skills and Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a Human services field (e.g. Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, etc.) is required
• Current independent professional license in the state of Kentucky, such as LCSW, LPCC, LMF, is required
• Minimum of 5 years of direct-care experience in the human services field
• Advanced training or experience working in the areas of child and/or adult development
• Experience with trauma-informed care, recovery-based treatment planning and behavioral health programs
• Strong knowledge of family systems and issues related to child development, child abuse, domestic violence, substance use, parenting and the cycle of violence
• Strong crisis intervention skills and knowledge of mandated reporting requirements
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification is required; certification will be provided after hire if needed
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record is required
