About The Role

Are you passionate about developing the next generation of behavioral health professionals? Our Residency Program is seeking a Preceptor to provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and professional guidance to residents working toward licensure.  If you're board eligible to provide licensure supervision for supervisees in Social Work in North Carolina, please see below:

As a Preceptor, you’ll:



Support residents in applying clinical skills and ethical practice in real-world settings


Foster professional growth through case consultation, feedback, and modeling of best practices


Deliver licensure supervision within the ncgCARE Residency Program structure, ensuring high-quality, competency-based training and supervision



Supervision occurs weekly within the structure of the Residency Program and adheres to all professional board requirements.

Compensation

This role is compensated on a salaried basis, providing consistent earnings aligned with the responsibilities and expectations of the position.


Compensation: $64,981 - $83,442


Placement within the range is based on licensure level, education, and experience.

What You Can Expect


Provide clinical supervision through individual and group sessions for residents.
Support professional growth by mentoring residents and helping them achieve licensure goals.
Lead training and case discussions using evidence-based practices and clinical rounds.
Ensure quality care by reviewing documentation, promoting best practices, and collaborating with supervisors.


Responsibilities


Provide individual and group supervision to assigned residents.
Review clinical documentation and provide feedback to support quality care.
Mentor residents through licensure requirements and professional development.
Collaborate with supervisors and participate in training, meetings, and program improvement.

QualificationsFor North Carolina LCSW Supervision:



Hold an active, unrestricted LCSW license in North Carolina


Have a minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience in direct practice


Have Board-approved supervision training as required by the NC Social Work Certification and Licensure Board


Provide supervision in person, as the current NC Board policy requires that licensure supervision be conducted face-to-face rather than exclusively via telehealth


The Residency Preceptor will have at least 3 years of experience in a clinical supervision role and knowledge of Ethical and Legal practices, informed consent, the impact of behavioral health diagnosis, clinical service definitions and requirements, client welfare, clinician development, trauma-informed service delivery, cultural humility, and appropriate supervisory modalities. Additionally, the Residency Preceptor will have at least 1-year experience in providing supervision for provisionally licensed staff in counseling and/or social work.
