The Overnight Recovery Coach Supervisor provides leadership and support to Recovery Coaches working overnight within our residential programs. This position combines direct resident support with staff supervision, training, and oversight of overnight operations. The Overnight Recovery Coach Supervisor helps ensure our residential programs remain safe, consistent, and supportive throughout the night while maintaining strong communication between overnight and daytime teams.
Recovery Coach Responsibilities:
Provide direct support and supervision to residents during overnight hours.
Administer medications as needed and maintain certification as a Medication Aide.
Complete regular resident and safety checks throughout the overnight shift.
Respond to resident needs, concerns, behavioral situations, and emergencies as they arise.
Document resident behaviors, incidents, concerns, and other required information accurately and timely.
Assist with admissions, discharges, and resident transitions when they occur during overnight hours.
Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures, safety protocols, and facility equipment.
Ensure house rules, program expectations, and overnight routines are followed consistently.
Communicate significant resident concerns, incidents, or changes to the appropriate staff and incoming shift.
Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized residential environment throughout the night.
Provide transportation for residents as needed.
Serve as a positive and consistent role model for Recovery Coaches, volunteers, and interns.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Provide direct supervision, guidance, and support to Recovery Coaches working overnight shifts.
Assist with onboarding, training, and continued development of Recovery Coaches.
Provide hands-on coaching and feedback to staff while working alongside them.
Help ensure overnight staff consistently follow program expectations, policies, safety procedures, and documentation requirements.
Address staff concerns and performance issues as they arise and communicate appropriately with residential leadership.
Assist with staff evaluations and provide feedback regarding employee performance.
Help coordinate overnight scheduling and respond to coverage needs when necessary.
Maintain communication with residential leadership and daytime staff to ensure important information is carried between shifts.
Promote a positive, team-oriented environment while holding staff accountable to expectations.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Review overnight documentation for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
Complete necessary documentation and internal chart audits.
Document and communicate significant resident or staff concerns to appropriate leadership.
Compile and distribute reports as assigned.
Assist with overnight scheduling and coverage needs.
House Responsibilities:
Help ensure residential facilities remain safe, clean, organized, and in compliance with NDHHS standards.
Enforce house rules and program expectations consistently and respectfully.
Coordinate and participate in health and safety drills.
Identify and communicate maintenance, safety, or facility concerns.
Ensure overnight responsibilities are completed and the residential program is prepared for the incoming shift.
Support the overall safety and well-being of residents and staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of three years of experience in behavioral health or a related field preferred.
Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Familiarity with trauma-informed care and CARF Accreditation standards preferred.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stress management skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight hours.
Strong written, verbal, and computer skills; experience with electronic health records is a plus.
Current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
First Aid, CPR, and Medication Aide certification, or willingness to obtain required certifications during the probationary period.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA requirements.

Pay: $40,000 – $53,000 per year
