Richmond Community Services (RCS) is looking for a Quality Investigator to join our team!

As a nonprofit organization supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, our work is about much more than compliance. What You'll Do

You’ll be an important part of our Quality Assurance team, helping us understand what happened, why it happened, and—most importantly—how we can make things better.

Your work may include:

• Conducting investigations involving reportable incidents, allegations of abuse or neglect, and other significant events.
• Reviewing information, interviewing staff and others, gathering documentation, and connecting the dots to determine what happened.
• Helping ensure investigations and follow-up activities meet applicable OPWDD, Justice Center, 14 NYCRR Part 624, and Part 483 requirements.
• Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Partnering with managers and departments to strengthen practices and prevent future issues.
• Supporting quality improvement and risk management initiatives.
• Helping ensure our programs and services remain safe, compliant, and focused on the people we serve.
• Traveling between agency locations as needed.

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who is thoughtful, objective, organized, and comfortable asking questions—even the tough ones.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Healthcare Administration, Human Services, Nursing, a clinical or health-related field, or a related field of study.
• At least three (3) years of relevant professional experience in incident management, investigations, quality improvement, risk management, regulatory compliance, or a related field.
• Experience conducting investigations involving reportable incidents, allegations of abuse or neglect, and other significant events in accordance with OPWDD requirements, Justice Center regulations, 14 NYCRR Part 624, and Part 483 regulations.
• Experience working with people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD) is preferred.
• A valid New York State driver's license, satisfactory driving record, and reliable transportation to travel between agency locations.
