CTS Inc, headquartered in Gastonia, NC, is hiring a part-time Qualified Professional (QP) to license, supervise, and support therapeutic foster parents in our new service area in Greensboro, NC. You will serve children and youth up to age 21 in Family Foster Care and Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) Level I and II. The role reports to the Foster Care Program Director.
Note: This role begins part-time and is expected to grow into a full-time position as the number of licensed foster homes and children served increases. You will be part of an integral growth team from the start!
What you'll do
Foster home licensing, up to 8 foster homes.
Relicense current foster parents and assist with Level II licensing.
Process background and reference checks.
Conduct quarterly health and safety reviews of foster homes.
Maintain therapeutic foster parent records.
Support TFC recruitment and train therapeutic foster families.
Foster parent supervision
Provide 60 minutes of weekly clinical and behavioral supervision per child (60% face-to-face, 40% virtual).
Help foster parents resolve problems as they arise.
Care coordination, up to 8 foster children caseload.
Coordinate services with families, DSS, DJJ, schools, courts, and healthcare providers.
Lead and attend Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings.
Maintain Person-Centered Plans (PCPs), service plans, and authorizations updates with no gaps in service.
Protect consumer rights and monitor each child's health, safety, and treatment needs.
Documentation and compliance
Review and co-sign progress notes, incident reports, and MARs as the QP.
Complete monthly record audits and keep Medicaid records current in the EHR.
Participate in State and MCO audits.
Crisis response and teamwork
Provide 24-hour on-call crisis support for your caseload, as assigned.
Attend monthly supervision, staff meetings, and required trainings.
Schedule
Part-time. Flexible hours that follow client needs and can include evenings, weekends, and on-call coverage.
Pay rate:
$100 per child on caseload, per week.
Qualifications: Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a human services field (e.g., social work, psychology, counseling).
3+ years of supervised experience with the population served.
1 year of residential experience, or demonstrated sound clinical knowledge of the service.
Qualified Professional (QP) status under North Carolina rules.
Experience with HIPAA and System of Care.
Valid North Carolina driver's license, reliable vehicle, and required auto insurance.
Strong written and verbal communication; at least 18 years of age.
Ability to participate in client activities (e.g., hiking, sports), with or without reasonable accommodation.
Employment is contingent on a criminal record check, fingerprinting, and an NC Health Care Personnel Registry (HCPR) check with no substantiated findings of abuse or neglect.
Training and certifications (obtain after hire if not current)
NCI+ / alternatives to restrictive interventions.
TIPS-MAPP or NTDC certification.
CPR/First Aid, medication administration, and communicable disease prevention.
Client rights and confidentiality training, CTS orientation, and credentialing/privileging.
