Psychotherapist / Licensed Mental Health Clinician

ABSS Solutions, Inc. (ASI) is seeking experienced Licensed Mental Health Clinicians to support an anticipated behavioral health program serving members of the North Carolina National Guard and their families. This is an opportunity for an independently licensed clinician who wants to combine direct clinical practice with a broader mission supporting the behavioral health, resilience, and readiness of the military community.

Clinicians will provide assessment, counseling, evidence-based treatment, crisis intervention, and clinical case management while working collaboratively with military, Veteran, healthcare, and community resources. The position offers a varied practice environment that includes individual clinical care, outreach, consultation, and opportunities to engage directly with Service Members throughout North Carolina.

What You'll Do

• Provide behavioral health assessments, evaluations, treatment planning, and psychotherapy.
• Deliver evidence-based treatment for trauma and other behavioral health conditions.
• Provide crisis assessment, intervention, safety planning, and appropriate referrals.
• Coordinate care with VA, TRICARE, military, and community behavioral health providers.
• Provide clinical case management and follow-up to support continuity of care.
• Conduct psychoeducational briefings and participate in military and community outreach events.
• Build trusted relationships with Service Members, families, military leadership, and community partners.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
• Participate in a shared 24/7 behavioral health hotiline after-hours/on-call rotation with other licensed clinicians.
• Travel periodically within North Carolina to support Service Members and Guard activities.

What We're Looking For

• Current, unrestricted North Carolina independent-level license as an LCSW, LCMHC/LPC, or LMFT.
• At least three years of post-licensure clinical behavioral health experience.
• Experience providing counseling involving individual, couples, family, mental health, or related psychosocial needs.
• Experience with crisis intervention, risk assessment, and treatment planning.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with Service Members, Veterans, military families, first responders, or other public-safety populations.
• Experience treating trauma using evidence-based approaches such as CPT, PE, EMDR, or ART.
• Experience with suicide-risk assessment and safety planning.
• Familiarity with military culture and military/Veteran behavioral health resources.
