We are currently searching for a full-time Rapid Re-Housing Supervisor to join our Calumet team!  

SALARY: The average starting salary for this position will fall in the range of $63,500 and $70,500 annually. Where candidates fall in this range will be based on skill and experience level.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure all components of the Rapid Re-Housing program are implemented, conducted, structured and evaluated.
  • Supervise assigned staff in accordance with the Agency’s policies, procedures and applicable laws. Interview, hire, terminate and train employees. Plan, assign, and direct work of assigned staff.  Appraise performance, reward and address performance deficiencies through coaching and/or corrective action. 
  • Create a workplace culture that is consistent with the Agency’s mission, vision, guiding principles/code of ethics, and values.
  • Provide direct supervision of Family Coaches.
  • Provide regular (weekly) supervision with the team.  Ensure team receives the required support to successfully provide direct services to trainees.
  • Provide leadership in the recruitment and enrollment and in-depth orientations, conduct individual interviews, assessment/intake; collect personal background information and assess potential. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Rapid Re-Housing   program, its goals, objectives, expected outcomes and reporting.
  • Assist team with establishing and maintaining a productive partnership with the funder - All Chicago. 
  • Ensure case notes are recorded in the HMIS system within 48 hours of service, this includes all home visits, phone calls, and collateral contact, referrals, direct services, and other related activities.
  • Complete the required quarterly report, narrative and quarterly supplemental in the HMIS system.
  • Works effectively with diverse staff, community, schools and trainee populations.
  • Ensure organization and use of technology to support managing the various components of program, including tracking deliverables, services and outcomes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work or related field.
  • Five years of post-Bachelor’s degree experience in program industry related field.
  • Strategic thinking and innovative leadership skills with demonstrated ability to successfully manage a team.
  • Experience in providing leadership in community-based programming with targeted group.
  • Ability to establish rapport and relate to persons across multicultural groups.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills; ability to relate to a wide range of issues, people, and institutions.
  • Proficient computer skills including use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must have access to a vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of insurance to perform essential job function.

  • Must be able to transport clients on occasion.
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation and be able to commute to various settings to deliver program services and/or meet with clients.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing and viewing a computer terminal. The employee must be able to navigate flights of stairs when visiting client apartments. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
