SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Program Supervisor – Positive Pathways Youth Mentoring Program

The Program Supervisor for the Positive Pathways Youth Mentoring Program provides leadership and oversight for the daily operations of the program under the supervision of the Program Director. This position is responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, effective program implementation, and compliance with program objectives, contractual requirements, and organizational standards.

The Program Supervisor plans, organizes, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates program services while providing direct supervision, coaching, and support to program staff. This role oversees participant service delivery, reviews and approves comprehensive assessments, and makes recommendations regarding treatment and service goals to support positive youth outcomes.

In addition, the Program Supervisor fosters collaborative relationships with community partners, schools, and stakeholders, and assists with public relations and outreach efforts that advance the program's mission. The Supervisor serves as a resource to staff, provides backup coverage when needed, and is capable of performing all program functions to ensure seamless operations and continuity of care.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience working with at-risk youth, mentoring programs, behavioral health services, or related human services programs. They possess excellent organizational, communication, and supervisory skills and are committed to empowering youth, supporting staff development, and promoting positive change within the community.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

• Four-Year College Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency - general major. Requires basic knowledge or training in a specialized or technical field or trade, such as social work, human services, counseling, psychology.

EXPERIENCE

• Over two years, up to and including four years

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED 

• Ability and organization to manage program operations.
• Develop and implement mentor training, ongoing support sessions, and engagement activities.
• Monitor mentor-mentee relationships, providing guidance, resources, and conflict resolution as needed.
• Knowledge of area of program concentration.
• Experience working with adolescents

 OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• This job requires a valid Hawaii driver's license and a clear driver's abstract and continued employment may be contingent on maintaining a clear driver’s abstract.
• This job requires a valid Hawaii driver's license, a clear driver's abstract, and use of agency vehicle to transport participants, as needed, as well as a willingness to travel in personal vehicle on an as-needed basis throughout the island.
• This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and continued employment is contingent on a record clear of convictions.
• Continued employment in this position is contingent on successful completion of CPI classes OR other Behavioral Management certification as may be contract-mandated.
