Schedule Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM; occasional evenings, overtime, and weekends as needed

Work Location Corporate office, participant homes, community settings, and other assigned service locations

Position Overview

The Program Supervisor provides leadership, guidance, and operational oversight for community-based programs supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. This role supervises field staff, ensures high-quality service delivery, promotes regulatory compliance, and supports participants in achieving meaningful, person-centered goals.

Working closely with the Program Director, the Program Supervisor coordinates services, develops staff, monitors program quality, and serves as a liaison between employees, families, Regional Centers, and community partners.


What You'll Do

Team Leadership & Staff Supervision

  • Supervise, mentor, and support Community Support Facilitators (CSFs), House Managers, Mental Health Providers, and Community Living Instructors (CLIs).
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and ongoing staff development.
  • Conduct field observations and quality assurance visits.
  • Assist with employee onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Promote a collaborative, respectful, and solution-focused team environment.

Program Oversight & Service Coordination

  • Ensure participants receive high-quality, person-centered services.
  • Coordinate services that promote independence, employment, education, recreation, and community inclusion.
  • Monitor participant progress and ensure services align with Individual Program Plans (IPPs) and Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
  • Support staff in teaching independent living, vocational, and community integration skills.
  • Assist participants in accessing community resources, transportation, benefits, and support services.

Person-Centered Planning

  • Facilitate person-centered planning meetings.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
  • Ensure participant goals reflect their strengths, interests, and preferences.
  • Monitor progress toward goals and adjust services as needed.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with Department of Developmental Services (DDS), Title 17, Regional Center requirements, and company policies.
  • Review participant documentation for quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Ensure staff complete required documentation, data collection, and progress reports.
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready participant files.
  • Report suspected abuse and Special Incident Reports (SIRs) in accordance with mandated reporter requirements.

Community Partnerships

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Regional Centers, employers, families, schools, and community organizations.
  • Support participants in developing meaningful community connections.
  • Collaborate with community partners to increase opportunities for employment, education, volunteer work, and social inclusion.
  • Represent A Bright Future professionally within the community.

Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor program quality and participant satisfaction.
  • Conduct routine case reviews and field observations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and staff development.
  • Assist with licensing reviews, audits, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Support organizational goals through continuous improvement efforts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in developmental disabilities, behavioral health, or human services.
  • At least one (1) year of supervisory or service coordination experience preferred.
  • Experience working with Regional Centers, DDS, and Title 17 regulations preferred.
  • Experience developing staff, conducting training, and managing community-based programs is highly desirable.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
  • Be willing and able to travel throughout assigned service areas to participant homes, community settings, meetings, and company offices.
  • Successfully complete a Department of Justice (DOJ) background check and Child Abuse Index clearance.
  • Complete a pre-employment physical examination and TB clearance.
  • Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
  • Be able to work occasional evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality while exercising sound judgment and professionalism.
