Minimum Qualifications: 

  1. Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related human services field.
  2. Current Michigan LMSW, LPC, LLP, or Licensed Psychologist credential required.
  3. Minimum five (5) years of clinical, therapeutic, or case management experience, including two (2) years of supervisory experience in a behavioral health setting.
  4. Experience serving individuals with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.
  5. Knowledge of person-centered planning, crisis intervention, recovery-oriented practices, and evidence-based behavioral health services.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Provide leadership and oversight for assigned behavioral health programs, ensuring quality service delivery and compliance with agency, contractual, licensing, and accreditation standards.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop clinical staff through regular supervision, performance management, case reviews, and professional development opportunities.
  • Support staff in delivering person-centered, strength-based, trauma-informed, and evidence-based services for individuals with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.
  • Facilitate team meetings, monitor program outcomes, and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance service effectiveness and individual outcomes.
  • Authorize medically necessary services and ensure compliance with treatment planning, documentation, and service delivery requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, community partners, advocacy groups, and service providers to coordinate care and connect individuals to needed resources.
  • Promote the use of Motivational Interviewing, recovery-oriented practices, and other evidence-based interventions throughout service delivery.
  • Manage staffing functions including hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, coaching, corrective action, and employee development.
  • Maintain knowledge of behavioral health best practices, trauma-informed care, and community resources to support individuals and families.
  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and security of all organizational and client information.
