Program Director of the True Blue Neighbors Youth Scholars

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

· Interview, hire and train staff and volunteers.

· Mentors staff and volunteers for successful program outcomes.

· Maintain program equipment, materials, and physical space at KWE.

· Monitor program food supply, including ordering and pick-up/delivery.

· Represent TBNYS during special events or projects at KWE, TU, and in the community.

· Seek and participate in professional development and training opportunities.

· Lead staff meetings and program evaluations.

· Document and report outcomes to appropriate funding agencies and academic partners.

· Maintain accurate youth participation records.

· Report accurate work records for self and staff.

· Communicate successes or problems directly and immediately to supervisor.

· Maintain consistent communication with KWE administrators, staff, and other service providers.

· Maintain current partnerships and develop new partnerships to support needs/goals of the program.

 

Required Qualifications:

Knowledge/Skill/Ability Equivalent Education/Experience

· Computer literate and able to complete administrative duties

· Knowledgeable about the standards of quality for K-12 out-of-school programs

· Able to work with youth and adults from diverse backgrounds with respect

· Able to enforce procedures and maintain consistency within the program.

-Bachelor's degree in social work, education, health or related field

Preferred Qualification:

-Master's degree

-Bilingual in English/Spanish

 

Special Job Dimensions:

Occasional evenings, weekends, may be required. In state and out of state travel for federal and state grant trainings will be required.
